5 Shopping Secrets That Marketers Don’t Want You to Know

Some loves it, some dreams about it and many even despise it but you can’t live without it. Shopping and spending money goes hands in hand but what if I tell you that there are ways to make your shopping habits more efficient and less costly in the long run.

Psychological Traps: Advertisers, marketers and businesses are constantly trying to sell something. They try to use psychological tricks to increase their sales. Remember the last time you saw the word free and went on to find a bad deal. They use trigger words like exclusive, free, discount etc. So, don’t just buy their claims without cross verifying. Get vigilant when you see trigger words like “free”, “exclusive”, “limited period offer” etc.

The Setup and Ambience: What’s common about the music played at shopping malls and markets? Slow and down tempo music. Slow music makes you go slow and you keep buying unwanted stuffs. Remedy- Use the earphones and listen to some EDM or anything but down tempo if you want to spend less.

Dynamic Pricing: There are many online stores that show different prices to different customers based on geographic location and past browsing data. Delete your cookies or use private/incognito window while buying.

Smart Couponing: Compare with a calculator if you get confused about percentage discount and cash discount. Moreover, compare coupons from different providers.

Connect and Seek: All e-commerce stores are active in social media channels. Ask them for discounts, coupons or vouchers. You can also call their customer service lines and support chat channels and ask for discounts.

Use these strategies and save every time you buy. Even if you would not be lucky enough to save, you would not end up paying more.

How to Play Guilt free and Carefree Holi- Tips to Take care of your Skin and Hair

After year long wait, the Holi countdown has begun. The festival of joy is incomplete without colours. After all it is the festival of colour. How do you even stop from playing with colour and having loads of fun? But, all the fun might go too rough on your skin and hair. Here are few tips to make your Holi celebration guilt free and safe.

Don’t get a facial: Leave the facial part after the Holi. Facial will make the skin tender and colours will cause more irritation if your skin is recently exfoliated. Guys, it is better you skip shaving on the day of Holi.

Eyes:  Wear a sunglass (not the best one you have) and avoid wearing contact lens.

What to Wear: Try to cover as much skin as possible. Wear full sleeve shirt or t-shirt. Jeans and denims take longer to dry, so wear cotton clothes.

Nails: Apply nail polish to protect your nails. Guys can try transparent nail polish.

Hair and Skin: Paper your hair with warm coconut oil or olive oil to keep them protected. Apply oil on your body 30 minutes before you hit the show. You can also apply moisturizer with sunscreen on your skin. Keep your lips moist with petroleum jelly or lip balm.

Hit the Salon: Visit the beauty parlour after the celebration is over. You hair and skin need some serious care after they have successfully got through this celebration. I have good news for you. Get the post Holi salon deals for some cool discounts at selected salons in Delhi.

Celebrate Holi with loads of love and great food with friends and family. Also, I beg you to spare the poor animals; dogs, cats, cows etc. Colors have harmful effect on them and they can’t take care of themselves the way you can. Happy Holi!

Karim’s Restaurant near Jama Masjid

Visiting Karim’s Restaurant near Jama Masjid, New Delhi was a delightful experience. I am a non-veg fan and like most of my types I have a strong craving for delicious food. You won’t feel the sophistication of a fine dine restaurant at the place but you will feel a different ambience. Karim’s restaurant was founded in 1913 by Haji Karimuddin. The family line had the profession of cooks in the Royal Mughal palaces. Now the fourth generation is handing the chain. It is this place where you can taste dishes whose recipes were handed down by their ancestors.
