Your Survival Guide to Getting a Tattoo in Summer

Summer is not exactly the best time of the year, especially when it comes to getting a tattoo. A tattoo is made up of colour pigment. UV rays of the sun can make these pigments to fade. So, in case if you are planning to get a tattoo done, this survival guide is for you.

  • Keep the tattoo covered when it is fresh. Don’t expose the tattoo to sunlight. Try to stay in a non-humid condition. If the tattoo artist cover it up with a plastic band, remove it as soon as you reach home. Instead use light sterilized bandages.
  • Keep it infection free by washing your hands every time, before and after touching the tattoo.
  • Make sure that nothing rubs against the tattoo. For example, you should not wear socks, if the tattoo is in your ankle.
  • Wash your tattoo gently with an extra mild soap. Ask the tattoo artist for suggestions. Don’t expose it to running water, instead, splash water onto the tattoo. Use anti-bacterial lotion to keep it infection free.
  • Keep the tattoo moisturized. Ask for tattoo balm recommendation to the tattoo artist.
  • Avoid direct contact with sunlight during the first few days. Apply SPF 30 or higher sunscreen lotion generously, if you have to go outside. Follow this rule for at least 1 month to get a perfect tattoo.
  • Stay out of pools, bathtub, spas or sea water to avoid damaging your tattoo. Don’t get soaked in water and avoid showers directly on the tattooed area.

Let the tattoo heal properly and plan the day in such a way that, you don’t have to indulge in hard work or other activities. So, if you want to get a tattoo this summer, take proper care of it. If you fancy some discounts, get some tattoo deal here

I Bet You Didn’t Know About these Wednesday Facts

I hate Wednesdays! This day that has a bad reputation as the most pointless day of the week. Many people even call it small Saturdays, the reason is obvious. Also known as Hump day (because it’s in the middle of the week with downhill towards the weekend), here are few facts about Wednesday, that you help you to survive through the day.

1. Wednesday is named after Woden, the most important God in the German pantheon, often identified with the Norse God Odin. Again the Roman God Mercury is associated with Odin and Woden.

2. Survey says that bosses are more acceptable on Wednesdays. Are you anticipating a leave request? Well, thank me later.

3.  Bad news ladies; women look oldest at 3.30pm on Wednesdays. That’s what a research says. Set mirror check at 3:30 sharp. Salon visit or not, you decide.

4. Wednesday is, statistically, the best night for dating (ahem). Wanna hangout at some pubs near you?

Last but not the least! If you are reading this, it means you have made it till the middle of the week and you can certainly make it to the weekend! Meanwhile I will try to like Wednesday.

Happy Wednesday!
